On October 15th, 2013, Larry V. prudently operated a 1999 Ford van, eastbound on State Highway 49/Fifth Avenue near Central Avenue in Springfield, Tennessee. On the same date and at the same time defendant James B. operated a 1999 Kenworth commercial truck, northbound on Central Avenue near State Highway 49/Fifth Avenue. Suddenly, and without warning, defendant James negligently drove the Kenworth truck through the red traffic light at the intersection of Central Avenue and State Highway 49/Fifth Avenue. The front end of James's truck struck the passenger side of Larry's van. Larry suffered painful injuries and other harms and losses as a result of the collision.
