Jonathan Lawrence has been a part of the GriffithLaw family since 2018 as an Associate Attorney. He previously practiced with Hughes and Coleman and Bill Easterly and Associates in Nashville, focusing entirely on representing injured Tennesseans. Jonathan began his career in Kentucky, focusing on injury cases and often handling matters which involved legal issues concerning both Kentucky and Tennessee law. In 2013, he moved to Tennessee and began his practice here with the same focus on helping injured people. Jonathan has extensive experience in representing people injured in motor vehicle accidents, dog attacks, slip and trip-and-falls, amongst numerous other difficult circumstances.

Jonathan grew up near Charlotte, North Carolina as the son of a pastor in a family of seven. This upbringing left Jonathan with a strong desire to help others, especially advocating for those without the resources to help themselves. He graduated summa cum laude from Appalachian State University in 2008 with his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and received his law degree from the University of Kentucky in 2012.

Jonathan serves as a Board Member for the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and is an active member of both the Tennessee and Kentucky Bar Associations.

When he’s not fighting for his clients, Jonathan’s time is devoted to his beautiful wife, Christian, and their four-year-old son, Landon, mostly at their home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. He is a sports enthusiast and also enjoys weight-lifting and any good excuse to be outdoors. The Lawrence family are members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Jonathan’s favorite quote comes from Jack London –  “The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.
