Our client Mel

On June 13, 2018, Melanie took her grandchildren on a Family Vacation to Bryson, North Carolina. Melanie and her grandchildren stayed at the Relax Inn located at 40 Highway 19 South, Bryson City, North Carolina 28713. That evening, after dinner, Melanie’s grandchildren asked to go to the pool. Melanie was reluctant because of the time but allowed for them to go. Soon after, Melanie began to clean the hotel room.

Within minutes of the grandchildren leaving the hotel room, Melanie heard a loud explosion and saw concrete flying towards her. Ms. Roady immediately, bent down and held her ears and screamed. She instantly thought that a bomb had gone off in her hotel room.

As the dust and ringing settled Melanie could hear someone saying “I’m Sorry, I’m Sorry, I’m Sorry!” Melanie then noticed that she was pinned against the wall of her hotel room by a minivan. Mr. Baines drove his vehicle straight into Melanie’s hotel room. The impact threw her against the wall and she was stuck by debris from the damage done by Mr. Baines vehicle.

"I had a very strange case.  A van ran into me, inside my motel room, while on vacation.  I had gone with another attorney who was sitting on my case, with all kinds of excuses why they were not doing anything, it was beyond frustrating!  So I was referred to Griffith Law.  I am so glad I went with them!  Johnathan Lawrence and Bethany Robinson were on top of it!  They kept me in the loop as to what was going on with my case.  That may not seem like much but it is big when your worried about hospital bills!  I did have one local biller that really could not wait on my settlement, because they are a small business.  Well Griffith Law cut them a check out of their own account so it would not affect this small business.  I'm one for small businesses-which is another reason I really like this company.  They are small enough to know you-I do mean the entire staff.  But they really have the knowledge and connections of a major office.  Thanks again Griffith Law, Johnathan and Bethany!"
